Multi-media involves the combination of several mediums of expression such as images, video, animations, and audio to provide and present information (Guan et al., 2018). The integration of multi-media in education can undoubtedly cultivate and enhance the creative abilities of students (Chau & Ho, 2010). Interestingly, it allows pupil’s to express their original ideas, use their imagination, create their own personal interpretation of concepts and present it in their own way.

Stop Motion Studio
As an emerging technology and software application, Stop Motion Studio allows individuals to revitalise their ideas and give the impression of movement by capturing characters or objects one frame at a time. This tool as a hands on approach empowers users to create their own scenarios, customise sound effects, copy and paste, and refine their ideas through experimentation. All of which can nurture and foster creativity.
In a study conducted by Atalay and Belet Boyaci (2019), the stop motion technique was encouraged and used amongst fourth grade students who were studying light, sound and planet earth in science. The findings revealed that stop motion animations is highly successful as it can aid pupil's in developing their originality, creativity, and imaginative thinking (Atalay & Belet Boyaci, 2019).

Link to curriculum
Stop Motion Studio can be used in science when explaining chemical reactions, in history when describing experiences, people or events and in arts when creating objects with materials such as clay.
Stage 4 History
Stop Motion Studio is an effective tool to incorporate in the stage 4 History curriculum, specifically when students are engaging with the depth study, The Ancient to Modern world. The syllabus specifies that students need to “investigate one or more aspects of everyday life in a particular society/empire, using ICT and other sources as appropriate” (NESA, 2012, p 24). Stop Motion Studio would be great as it can enable students to convey a story using photos, drawings they make, cardboard paper, and images from their devices. This can promote student creativity as it would involve several steps such as communicating their original ideas, ideation, designing, and visually presenting them.

Limitations
If student’s don't have has access to an iPad or an iPhone, it can cause disadvantages to their learning as Stop Motion Studio is largely reliant on technology. If students borrow devices from the school, availability may be limited, limiting the amount of time students have to work on their projects.

Hi Zeyba,
Your blog was easy to read and flowed well. You covered all the details of StopMotion Studio well, exploring all aspects such as the limitations and links to the curriculum which made your blog a useful read. Adding a sample of your work to your blog made it a more interesting read as it became a reflection of your personal experience with the app, making it more relatable. Adding links to the NSW curriculum and further explaining how it can be used for a stage 4 history lesson made this a very useful read.
Regards,
Nouha Kaddour
